CC Dewar “Sixteen”

Sixteen-year-old CC is a music student at the Victorian College of the Arts Secondary School (VCASS) and is part of the Improvising Vocals program. In 2022 she was the youngest finalist in the ‘Generations In Jazz’ Vocal Scholarship.

CC has performed around Melbourne as a guest of the Daryl McKenzie Jazz Orchestra, Mordialloc Jazz Orchestra, the Fem Belling Quartet, Soul Chic, Poet Street, and in 2022 launched D’EUX – a collaboration with vocalist Elissa Rodger.

She made her musical theatre debut in 2019 as Rafiki in Lion King Jr. at Chapel Off Chapel, and since then has been cast in lead roles, including Pilar in Legally Blonde Jr., Motormouth Maybelle in Hairspray Jr., Medda Larkin in Newsies Jr. and most recently as Sheila in A Chorus Line, performing to sold-out crowds!

Tonight she takes the stage with 3 talented musicians to perform her third solo show of loved Jazz Standards, Soul and R&B favourites. During the evening she will also be joined by some muso friends from VCASS!
