Infinity Septet
An enthusiastic and talented group of young musicians who attend Penleigh and Essendon Grammar School (PEGS) with a love and appreciation for the great jazz standards and they have accumulated a sizeable repertoire. Keen to display their talents to the wider community, they have secured this wonderful opportunity to perform at Jazz Lab.

This group has had many different incarnations, with varied line-ups under several different names since being formed in 2002 by PEGS music teacher Peter de Ryk who continues to lead the group. The 2023 line-up is one of the strongest in the band’s history featuring Noah John (alto), James Tran (tenor), Xavier Martin (trumpet), Christian Labagnara (guitar), Kieran Chau (piano), Matthew Arthur (bass) and Dylan Gough (drums).

Repertoire includes selections by Herbie Hancock, Dizzy Gillespie, Chick Corea and Gerry Mulligan.

Young trumpeter, composer, producer, electronics and vocalist Felix Meredith takes you on an adventurous, sublime journey.

With his disparate band of musicians, having fun, sometimes chaotically deconstructing and reconstructing the groove based music they love.
