Celebrated pianist James Bowers returns to the JazzLab with an outstanding new trio line-up. Exploring a new sonic palate, focusing on heavier, more electronic soundscapes, James is joined by bassist Tim Curnick and drummer Myka Wallace to re-interpret some favourites from his debut “My Trio Album” as well as premiere new work. This is a rare opportunity to hear James Bowers as band leader, and a sneak peek of what’s to come on his sophomore album,which was recorded in Tokyo earlier in the year.
