The JazzLab presents an all-star quintet led by canberra-based tenor saxophonist John Mackey. Known for his rich tone and fluidity, John will be joined by the ever melodic and beauty of Stephen Magnusson’s guitar, the inventive and mellifluous trumpet playing of Paul Williamson, the wizardry of bassist Sam Anning, and drummer Dave Beck’s intensity and fire. The Quintet will present a great night of original works and reimagined contemporary pieces. Come down and celebrate the energy, passion and creativity of this wonderful band.
