Kade Brown

29 year old pianist Kade Brown, originally hailing from the serene Far South Coast of New South Wales, has earnt recognition in the Melbourne jazz scene for his unique flair for improvisation and versatility across many styles of music. Over the past two years, Kade has been extensively touring throughout Europe while based in Berlin, where he continues to refine his artistry amidst one of the world’s most vibrant and inspiring cultural hubs.

Alongside Kade’s new original compositions, the band will celebrate the music of prominent Australian jazz musicians who came before his time, such as Mark Simmonds, Bernie McGann and Allan Browne, as well as some works by current major figures Judy Bailey, Sandy Evans and Mike Nock, offering both newcomers and those familiar with the music a chance to enjoy it once again.

Kade will be joined by fellow bandmates and seasoned performers Julien Wilson (saxophones) Sam Anning (bass), and Felix Bloxsom (drums). Julien and Sam both feature on Kade’s 2018 sextet album “Frictions”, a five part suite inspired by the intense natural beauty of the Sapphire Coast where Kade grew up.
