“Feist’s 2004 breakthrough album Let It Die lures you into a more charmed dimension, one that’s alternately soaked in the glow of sunshine-pop, shrouded in folky mystique, lit up in disco-ball glimmer”. (Elizabeth Barker, Vinyl Me Please).

This album by Canadian singer-songwriter Feist (her song ‘1, 2, 3, 4 went viral on one of the first Apple ipod adverstisments) explores new love, old love, lost love – family life, courtship and reflections, across a perfectly-crafted journey of originals and compositions with pared-back arrangements and tender, raw vocals.

One of Melbourne’s most respected vocalists, Raleigh Williams (ARIA-award winning Cooking on 3 Burners, new Americana supergroup Fools, Melbourne French jazz outfit La Nuit Blanche) performs this cult favourite album from start to end with some live additions and special guests.

Raleigh has featured across different festival and concert platforms such as Byron Bay Bluesfest, Melbourne international Jazz Festival, Stonnington Jazz, St Kilda Blues, Federation Square, Adelaide French Festival, Melbourne Recital Centre.

Her annual homages to soul and jazz icons Amy Winehouse, Dusty Springfield, Nina Simone and Eartha Kitt have become firm favourites to the Melbourne public.

“Raleigh Williams’ honey-mixed-with-bourbon voice is the perfect vehicle for the songs.” – Nikos Fotakis, Australian Jazz Net
