The Max Grynchuk Big Band is a 17-piece band led by Adelaide trumpeter and composer/arranger Max Grynchuk. Established in 2016, the band has recorded three studio albums. The band’s first album As For Now was released in 2021 and featured renowned guest artists Will Vinson, James Muller, and Mark Simeon Ferguson. Their following two albums featured Max’s arrangements of the music of Eraser Description. The band has performed at the Middleton Jazz Festival, and is a regular performer at COMA (Creative Original Music Adelaide).
ER@SER DESCRIPTION is known for their deep, funky jazz-electro beats – lush, warm, layered synths – spontaneous improvisations and high-energy jazz party vibes. With David Goodwin, Jack Strempel, and Alexander Flood sharing the reins of this trio, they’ve featured alongside Kate Ceberano, the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra, West Australian Symphony Orchestra, Queensland Symphony Orchestra, Paulini, and the Max Grynchuk Big Band.
