Daniel Gassin Trio (FRANCE)

Australian/French pianist and composer Daniel Gassin is on a brief visit from Paris, where he has been based for over a decade. He placed third in the 2013 National Jazz Piano Award and was a semi-finalist at the Bösendorfer Jazz Solo Piano Competition at the 2007 Montreux Jazz Festival.

Following his successful performance at the Melbourne International Jazz Festival with his Crossover Band, Gassin returns in a more intimate trio format, joined by Sam Anning (bass) and Aaron McCullough (drums). The evening may also feature special guest performers in the second set.
