The Melbourne Youth Orchestras proudly present Melbourne Youth Big Band and Melbourne Youth Jazz Orchestra for their first concert in 2026. Conducted by legendary drummer, composer and educator – Sonja Horbelt, and featuring the music of familiar favourites Gordon Goodwin, Thad Jones, and iconic Australian composer and conductor Vanessa Perica, this performance is not to be missed!

Melbourne Youth Orchestras have brought together countless young musicians for ensemble music-making since 1967. In 2023, two brand-new jazz orchestras were added back into the mix and since then they have been going from strength to strength.
