Melbourne Youth Orchestras has been bringing countless young musicians together for ensemble music-making since 1967. The MYO program includes symphony orchestras, string orchestras and symphonic bands, and now two brand-new jazz orchestras which have been added to the mix in 2023.
Under the direction of trombonist and educator Joe O’Callaghan, these sensational bands present a sophisticated and stylish tribute to Count Basie in a joyous concert with guest trumpeter Mat Jodrell.
