MJC Presents: Katarzyna Wiktorski Quintet

After independently releasing her lockdown octet EP From a Distance, pianist/ composer/ arranger Katarzyna Wiktorski’s Quintet project celebrates the fusion of jazz, classical and improvisation. Kat’s compositional approach strives to create balance between complexity and simplicity, with an overall arc of emotional sentiment and storytelling. This new collection of works explores interplay and groove and celebrates overcoming burnout and the joy of creating new music.

Wiktorski is joined by Erica Tucceri (flutes), Holly Moore (alto saxophone), Madison James Smith (double bass), and Hannes Lackmann (drums).
