MJC Presents: Niko Schauble & Carl Pannuzzo Duo

This year has seen drummer and composer Niko Schauble premiering two of his compositions for large ensemble in Australia (with the MJC Orchestra) and in Europe (with Nick Haywood, Andrea Keller performing ‘Clear Waters’ for jazz trio and symphony Orchestra).

Always seeking new creative possibilities, Niko has teamed with Carl Pannuzzo (a multi instrumentalist and vocalist well-known for his work with the Checkerboard Lounge group). Carl, who was recently nominated in the Blues Music Victoria’s Blues Legend Poll, was a featured artist in Niko’s ‘Drumbling’ project, which premiered at the 2013 Wangaratta Festival of Jazz.

Niko and Carl who have performed together for 10 years, including in Carl’s Jazz Quintet, are looking forward to sharing an intimate evening of Grungy Grooves, Soaring Songs, Loopy Loops and Beats and Bits.
