Peter O’Mara Prime Time

Australian jazz guitarist Peter O’Mara moved to Germany in late 1981 where he soon became one of the most versatile guitarists in Europe, including performances and
recordings with Dave Holland, Joe Lovano, Bob Mintzer, Kenny Wheeler, Norma Winstone, John Taylor, Randy Brecker, Charlie Mariano, Tony Lakatos, Mike Nock, Russell Ferrante, Anthony Jackson, Marc Johnson, Adam Nussbaum, Pee Wee Ellis, Fred Wesley, the United Jazz & Rock Ensemble and Klaus Doldinger’s Passport.

Prime Time is a great new collaboration showcasing Peter O’Mara ́s excellent compositions and featuring some of Melbourne ́s finest jazz musicians, The mood ranges from blues, ballads, chill, groove to up tempo and there ́s plenty of room for improvisation and interaction too.

Prime Time features some of Melbourne´s finest jazz musicians: Paul Williamson – trumpet;   Julien Wilson – tenor sax; Nick Haywood – double bass; Felix Bloxsom – drums.

ABC ́s Jazztrack will be recording Prime Time ́s performance live on Thursday 6th March.
