MJC Presents: PUZA/BANKS QUARTET

Tenor saxophonist Julian Banks, renowned for his melodic and versatile playing, will again be collaborating with acclaimed expatriate Turkish jazz guitarist Onur Puza, who is making his triumphant return to Melbourne’s vibrant jazz scene.
Their co-leadership promises to deliver a fresh and exciting musical journey, with a rich tapestry of original tunes from each of them. The dynamic blend of modern jazz and groove-based tunes crafted by these co-leaders will be realised with the outstanding and highly experienced rhythm team of Philip Rex on double bass and Felix Bloxsom on drums.
