Tristan Wills (WA) Feat. Wilson, Robertson, Fischer

Tristan Wills returns to Melbourne for the second time, performing his original music with Julien Wilson on the Saxophone, Danny Fischer on the Drums and Ben Robertson on the Bass.

Tristan’s first album, ‘The Genesis Project’ endeavors to explore the biblical narrative of Genesis through instrumental jazz. This next project, ‘Internal Dialogue’, ventures into a more personal journey, while touching on several broader philosophical concepts along the way. Tristan’s music is both highly sensitive and incredibly energetic. It is inspired by artists such as Ambrose Akinmusire and The Kendrick Scott Oracle.

The majority of the pieces performed on this night will be from his new and unreleased album ‘Internal Dialogue’. This album features some of Perth’s top emerging artists. With Jayden Blockley on the Saxophone, Daniel Harrison on the Drums and Alistair Peel on the Bass, this album is full of thoughtful creativity and exceptional improvisation.

While this ensemble explores new compositions and improvisational avenues, they are sure to put on an extremely captivating musical performance.
