Xani “Live” Album Launch

Recorded over three nights in July 2024, Xani’s new album Xani – Live is a meticulous document of spontaneous creation. Captured at The Jazzlab in Brunswick by engineer Thomas Strode, and mixed/mastered by Isaac Barter, the album draws from a series of high-stakes performances featuring Xani on five-string electric violin, Justin Olsson on drums, and guest collaborators including Shannon Bourne (electric guitar) and Angus Radley (bass).

This special album launch will unfold as both a celebration and a continuation of the daring improvisational spirit that shaped the recording itself. In the same room where the album came to life, Xani will perform alongside drummer Justin Olsson, presenting a set divided between reimagined songs and wholly improvised pieces. This show invites the audience to witness the spontaneity of creation; and, like the album, promises to be an exploration of tension, risk, and resolution—a live testament to the beauty of music created in the moment. It is all nerve and no safety net.
