Abi Lee is a Naarm/Melbourne-based pianist, composer, and improviser. Abi tells intimate stories through real-time improvisation and her compositions in a trio setting. Abi’s belief and love for music is shown in every aspect of her playing and composition highlighting her percussive and distinctive voice influenced by Keith Jarrett, Andrea Keller and Mike Nock. Her debut album, Up on the Hill Again, Here I Go (May 2024), is a series of stories from one of Abi’s toughest yet significant periods of her life. Abi leads a trio of the most exciting emerging voices of Australia, showing her longing for freedom and her fearless sense of self.

Made up of some of Melbourne’s most exciting young musicians, the Mia Barham Quintet performs a collection of lyrical original music, featuring lush weaving melodies and improvisations. Taking inspiration from artists such as Andrea Keller and Angela Davis, the group has developed a unique sound, providing an exciting new addition to the Australian music scene.

With her lyrical melodies, sensitive compositions and thoughtful improvisation, Mia Barham is an exciting saxophonist and flautist from Melbourne, Australia. Mia has performed with renowned jazz artists from around the globe including Nduduzo Makhatani, Ingrid Jenson and Andrea Keller. She has two releases to her name, both of which have been featured on ABC Jazz, PBS and have been performed at both The Jazzlab and Tempo Rubato.
