Praised for his abilities as a composer and improviser, pianist Caleb Wilson has been described as a “true searcher”  by Australian jazz luminary Barney McAll. Possessing a “relaxed and strong facility, excellent control and a gorgeous sound” (McAll), Caleb’s compositions explore the sonic possibilities of the piano at the intersection of notated and improvised music, drawing from the jazz and European classical music traditions. Joining him for this unofficial birthday gig is longtime collaborator Quinn Knight (drums) and National Jazz Award winning Blakely McLean Davies (double bass), as well as Margot Petrie (voice) and TBC (saxophone).
