JOVA – Jodrell/Oehlers/Vanderwal/Anning (WA/Vic)

This newly formed ensemble presents its debut performance at the Jazzlab.

Bringing together four of Australia’s finest improvisers (in fact they’re all originally West Australians), and playing new music written specifically for this group, JOVA plays melodies that intertwine around improvisations and makes use of the almost telepathic communication that only occurs between people who have been performing together for over 25 years.
