The ensemble will be revisiting compositions from the multi-award winning album ‘across a field as vast as one’.
Released in 2018, it won awards for 2018 The Age Music Victoria Best Jazz Album of the Year, 2019 Bell Award for Best Instrumental Jazz Album, and was shortlisted for the 14th Australian Music Prize. It traverses eight original Anning compositions, drawing on diverse influences including his years living in New York City, the Australian landscape, recent world events and most of all, a homage to his late great mentor, the Australian drummer Allan Browne.
