James Gilligan/ Stephen Magnusson/ Julien Wilson Trio

Due to the cancellation of Julio and The Stevies on July 14th, Stephen Magnusson is going to join Julien and James Gilligan to form a trio for this gig. This will be a special chance to hear these three exceptionally sensitive and tasteful musicians play some beautiful songs together. Magnusson amd Wilson have been playing in various trio formats together for over three decades. They have both worked with James Gilligan in a number of contexts but this will be their first perfomance together as a trio. It will also be one of Gilligan’s final shows in Melbourne before he goes to Europe for a two month tour supporting his new duo album release, BRUCE with Swiss ECM Woodwind virtuoso, Sha.
