Koi Kingdom are celebrating the release of their self-titled 3rd studio album 🥳 This concept driven work is structured around a co-created native based in the koi world or rather ‘koi kingdom’ and touches on themes of friendship, loss, grief, rebirth, and joy. The album draws on the genre defying precedents established by their first two records but reaches even higher heights through a greater cohesion of each individual’s creative strengths resulting in a sum that is truly greater than its parts ❤️
Koi Kingdom are Cheryl Durongpisitkul (Alto Saxophone), Stephen Hornby (Double Bass) and Marcos Villalta (Guitar) and will be joined on the night by special guests percussionist Keshav Yoganathan as well as the ‘Koi Choir’.
There will be an opening set by Romy Hernandez performing pieces from her recently released solo piano album, ‘Poems of Bliss and Loss’, which represents a heartfelt return to her roots and a profound exploration of her first love – the piano.
