Mar y Mar Quartet draws on influences from jazz, classical music, and Latin rhythms, among many others. This Melbourne-based ensemble brings together four distinctive musical voices, combining their diverse backgrounds to create new sounds and possibilities within a truly unique quartet.

Featuring Maria Lozano (oboe / vocals – Spain), Marcos Villalta (electric guitar – Australia / El Salvador), Sebastian Barahona (electric bass – Chile), and Jethro Negron (drums – Australia / Chile), the group’s original compositions transport listeners through different stories, places, and emotional landscapes.
